1997

Establishment of MJV
In the mid-1990s, Brazilian companies began an intense computerisation process. They increasingly hired outsourced data processing services. MJV was born during this wave, in Rio de Janeiro, to perform IT services for two banks: Banco Boa Vista (now Bradesco) and Banco Bozano, Simonsein (now Santander).

2000

Opening of MJV SP
MJV began expanding, opening MJV São Paulo.

2005

Expansion of MJV’s workforce to 200
In a year when the country grew at its fastest rate in two decades, creating jobs and economic stability, MJV’s workforce in Rio and São Paulo reached 200.

2007


Creation of Innovation area

For Rio de Janeiro state government, MJV created a gamified platform to help reduce tax evasion in the state (“Cupom Mania”). The project’s success paved the way for the company to develop similar projects for the state governments of Paraná and Minas Gerais.

Based on these projects, MJV started to strengthen its image as a company that unites technology with innovation to transform businesses.

2011

Partnership with SAP
MJV and SAP entered into a commercial partnership to implement Big Data and HANA solutions.

2012


Opening of MJV UK
MJV opened its first branch outside Brazil – a commercial office in the UK capital, London.

Design thinking book
MJV Press was established and it published its first book – Design Thinking – Innovation in Business – a pioneering work on the subject in Brazil.

2013

Launch of CoolCenter
CoolCenter, the first gamified platform for a Brazilian call centre, was created. It is a dashboard featuring game mechanics to make operators’ work more fun and productive.

2014

Gamification, Inc. book
MJV launched its first book about gamification in Brazil: Gamification, Inc. – How to reinvent companies through games.

2015


Opening of MJV Atlanta
MJV opened its second branch outside Brazil. In Atlanta, Georgia’s capital, in the US we opened a commercial office.
